Square Enix has been kind enough to share yet another piece of concept art for the upcoming, and long-awaited
Final Fantasy VII Remake, giving us a good look at Midgar's bustling Sector 8; comparing concept art to the in-game final product.
The original
Final Fantasy VII used pre-rendered graphics for the backgrounds, which made the game look a lot more detailed at the time. Since now backgrounds can be rendered in real time, the backgrounds in
Final Fantasy VII Remake look even better than ever.
While the developers have taken their time to make Final Fantasy VII Remake, these comparison images really make us realize that the waiting has been worth it; with the in-game screenshot looking pretty much exactly like the concept art.
Take a look:
In Midgar, a city controlled by the mega-conglomerate Shinra Inc., the No. 1 Mako Reactor has been blown up by a rebel group, AVALANCHE. AVALANCHE was secretly formed to wage a rebellion against Shinra Inc., an organisation which is absorbing Mako energy, destroying the natural resources of the planet. Cloud, a former member of Shinra's elite combat force, SOLDIER, was involved with the bombing of the Mako Reactor. Can Cloud and AVALANCHE protect the planet from the huge, formidable enemy, Shinra Inc.?
Final Fantasy VII Remake will become available for the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One on the 3rd of March in 2020.
