Back in September of last year, Square Enix surprised us all when they revealed — during a Nintendo Direct presentation — that they would be releasing quite a bunch of
Final Fantasy titles, which were later revealed to come out for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One and Steam, as well.
The games revealed by Square Enix were
Final Fantasy VII, Final Fantasy IX, Final Fantasy X and Final Fantasy X-2, Final Fantasy XII The Zodiac Age, Chocobo's Mystery Dungeon: Every Buddy!, World of Final Fantasy Maxima, and Final Fantasy XV Pocket Edition; with
FF XV Pocket Edition,
Chocobo's Mystery Dungeon, and
World of Final Fantasy Maxima being the only ones announced to come out in 2018.
Just yesterday, we also got
new trailers for Final Fantasy: X/X-2 HD Remaster and Final Fantasy XII The Zodiac Sign; both scheduled to release on the 16th and 30th of April respectively.
Today, the official
Final Fantasy Twitter account has revealed that pre-purchases for
Final Fantasy VII for the Nintendo Switch and Xbox One are currently available at their respective online stores. Not only did they made fans aware of the pre-purchases, but they also revealed the release date, and both games will become available on the 26th of March.
Sadly, Square Enix still hasn't released a trailer for
Final Fantasy VII, but given that the game is coming out exactly a month from today, it is very likely that we will be getting one in the coming weeks.
Final Fantasy VII will become available for the Nintendo Switch and Xbox One on the 26th of March.
