Fans of the
Final Fantasy series have been waiting to know the official release date for the long-awaited
Final Fantasy VII Remake for, well, quite a long time — and this E3 finally gave them the good news that Square Enix's game will become available on the
3rd of March in 2020.
The long wait for the
Final Fantasy VII Remake reminds us of the similar torture
Resident Evil fans had to endure when waiting for the
Resdient Evil 2 remake, and the delays — as well as the time it took to be developed — ended up paying off big time; and to a certain degree Kingdom Hearts fans, although this is a slightly more divisive result.
Although fans still have to wait for next year until
Final Fantasy VII Remake releases, Square Enix will likely keep its loyal fanbase updated by releasing new images, and a few trailers along the way, and today they've treated players with new character images for Cloud Strife, Barret Wallace, Aerith Gainsborough, and Tifa Lockhart.
Check it out:
In Midgar, a city controlled by the mega-conglomerate Shinra Inc., the No. 1 Mako Reactor has been blown up by a rebel group, AVALANCHE. AVALANCHE was secretly formed to wage a rebellion against Shinra Inc., an organisation which is absorbing Mako energy, destroying the natural resources of the planet. Cloud, a former member of Shinra's elite combat force, SOLDIER, was involved with the bombing of the Mako Reactor. Can Cloud and AVALANCHE protect the planet from the huge, formidable enemy, Shinra Inc.?
Final Fantasy VII Remake will become available for the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One on the 3rd of March in 2020.
