When Square Enix first announced Final Fantasy VII Remake — a long 5 years ago, as many fans of the original would agree — people got extremely excited to see twhat is arguably the most memorable game in the long-running RPG series getting the remake treatment.

Final Fantasy VII Remake is taking some liberties, as we know that the upcoming title is the first entry in what Square Enix hopes becomes a mini series(trilogy perhaps?) that retells the original game's story while also adding to its universe's lore.

While some things have been kept the same, Square Enix has changed tome things — because this is a remake, obviously — in order to make the game look, sound, and play better than ever; being fair, the original game didn't age too well in some aspects, so these changes are more than welcomed.

Square Enix has recently been releasing short episodes in a new mini series called Inside Final Fantasy VII Remake, where the developers reveal some very interesting details about the game's development and comment on the changes that they have been making to the game.

This new episode in the Inside Final Fantasy VII Remake mini series is focusin on combat and gameplay, which is arguably the aspects that have been more drastically changed in order to enhance the player's experience; doing away with the traditional turn-based combat in order to make it more dynamic.

Give it a watch:

In Midgar, a city controlled by the mega-conglomerate Shinra Inc., the No. 1 Mako Reactor has been blown up by a rebel group, AVALANCHE. AVALANCHE was secretly formed to wage a rebellion against Shinra Inc., an organisation which is absorbing Mako energy, destroying the natural resources of the planet. Cloud, a former member of Shinra's elite combat force, SOLDIER, was involved with the bombing of the Mako Reactor. Can Cloud and AVALANCHE protect the planet from the huge, formidable enemy, Shinra Inc.?

Final Fantasy VII Remake will become available for the PlayStation 4 on the 10th of April.
