Subscribers to the premium PlayStation Plus are entitled to a couple of free games each and every month. The main attraction of PlayStation Plus is the ability to play online multiplayer games, but the free monthly games are a great bonus nonetheless.
At the moment, Star Wars Battlefront 2 and Call of Duty: WWII are both available for free — find out more about those here. However, that pair will soon be replaced by a new bunch of free games. In July, Rise of the Tomb Raider and NBA 2K20 will be available for free to those that are subscribed to PlayStation Plus.
What's more, this month's selection also features a bonus game — that being Erica. Check out the announcement tweet below (via @PlayStation):
The former is the second installment in the modern action-adventure Tomb Raider video game series developed by Crystal Dynamics and published by Square Enix. It's certainly acclaimed, what with a score of 88 on Metacritic. NBA 2K20, on the other hand, is the latest entry in the NBA 2K series from 2K Games. It revolves around basketball.
Erica is a cinematic live-action thriller wherein you make choices that determine how the story plays out. It's an interactive narrative akin to Late Shift from 2016. It released back in August, exclusively for the PlayStation 4.
All three of these games will be available for free to PlayStation Plus subscribers from July 7th until August 3rd — wherein they will be replaced by a new bunch of free games. We will be sure to notify you once the deal goes live as well as once August's free PlayStation Plus games are announced.
