Assassin's Creed and Warcraft were supposed to put the video game movie genre on the right back but both movies ended up being critical and commercial disappointments. Now, all eyes are on Tomb Raider to make things right and if this new clip is any indication, it stands a good chance of doing so!

There's plenty of great action on display here as we essentially see the video games brought to life when poor Lara Croft finds herself in some seriously sticky situations as things go from bad to worse.

Warner Bros. has clearly stuck closely to those but it does look like there will be some big twists and if all goes right, the Alicia Vikander led movie should help launch a new franchise. Directed by The Wave’s Roar Uthaug, the movie also stars Walter Goggins (The Hateful Eight), Dominic West (The Affair), Daniel Wu (Warcraft) and Hannah John-Kamen (Ready Player One). What do you guys think of this clip?
