Coming to www.xbox.com US on February 11, ‘Free Your Avatar’ is an exciting tool that allows you to export your avatar from Xbox LIVE, create your very own customized image, and share with family and friends.

The updated ‘Free Your Avatar’ tool will provide brand new backgrounds and props for every occasion including birthday backgrounds, party hats and balloons. Additionally, people will be able to upload their very own backgrounds: Place your avatar in front of famous landmarks you’ve always wanted to visit, or insert your avatars into your favorite movie scene.

Xbox LIVE is celebrating Valentine’s Day by featuring romantically themed props and backgrounds.

Create a personalized ecard for your loved ones without the inevitable mess of glitter and glue. Simply export your Avatar from Xbox LIVE, place it on a Valentines themed background, add a suitable prop such as a rose or heart, and finish it off with your own personal message.

Sending a customized ecard is quick, easy, fun and, of course, free - all courtesy of Xbox LIVE and Xbox.com. Unleash your creativity at www.xbox.com/freeyouravatar.

‘Free Your Avatar’ is available in the US, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, Singapore, Hong Kong, India, Belgium, Denmark, Finland, Ireland, Sweden, Netherlands, Norway, UK, France, Switzerland, Italy, Austria, Switzerland, Germany, Spain, and Mexico.
