Will it be worth the $99 price tag?

Just in time for the arrival of the New Xbox Experience coming next month (November 19), every Xbox 360 owner will now have the option to upgrade with the new Xbox 360 60GB LIVE Starter Pack. Available this November, the Xbox 360 60GB Starter Pack will come with everything needed to join the fun on Xbox LIVE, including a 60GB detachable hard drive for storing downloadable movies, TV shows and additional game content. Additionally, it will come with an Xbox 360 Headset, an Ethernet cable and a three-month Gold subscription to Xbox LIVE.

"This is the perfect upgrade path for those looking to enjoy all that the New Xbox Experience has to offer including streaming movies and TV episodes offered by Netflix, Avatar creation, Xbox LIVE Parties and much more. There has never been a better time to become a part of the 14-million-member Xbox LIVE community."

The 60GB hard drive is almost worth the $99.99 price tag, but the headset is a nice throw-in (ours are constantly having to be relaced). I'm not sure why they're throwing the ethernet cable in ... Doesn't every Xbox 360 come with one? The three-month Gold subscription for Xbox LIVE is also nice due to the fact that a one month subscription will run you $7.99.

If they would throw in the camera and the keypad, this would be a no-brainer purchase, especially with Christmas fast approaching.
