After the controversial and hitting rock bottom
Sea of Thieves, Microsoft will try to redeem themselves with the sequel to one of their biggest series on this generation of consoles,
State of Decay. And what's arguably the best news for Xbox One and PC owners, you will be able to check out the title just for $10 using the Xbox Game Pass, the initiative that began with the launched
last month
Sea of Thieves.
The game will hit the stores on May 22, and Undead Labs recently gave the press a chance to check out a "beta build" of
State of Decay 2. The recorded gameplay videos feature "the things you know" from the first game, including savaging at a convenience store, culminating in defending your base from an attack of a zombie horde, and naturally, smacking zombies up by leaving your car door wide open.
Just like in
Left 4 Dead, individually, zombies are easy enough to kill, but the real fun starts when hordes spot your location and you face an endless wave of enemies that would make happy even the fans of
Serious Sam. It looks like
State of Decay 2 won't try to reinvent the wheel as at its core this is the same game, with only a small sprinkling of original additions to distinguish it from the first chapter.
State of Decay 2, the sequel to the hit State of Decay, which has sold more than 4.5M copies, is on its way. Get ready for the ultimate zombie survival fantasy game. The next installment in the critically acclaimed State of Decay franchise immerses you in an all-new, multiplayer zombie survival fantasy. Build a lasting community, working with other players or solo to overcome challenges while exploring your own unique story in a world that remembers the choices you make.
State of Decay 2 is coming to Xbox One and Windows 10 on May 22, 2018.
