Crackdown 3 was officially announced at Microsoft’s E3 media briefing four years ago and the company has finally revealed that the title will release on February 15, 2019 for Xbox One and Windows 10. The upcoming explosive co-op extravaganza will be also available on the Xbox Game Pass, a subscription service from Microsoft that allows Xbox One owners play selected Xbox titles on the day of release.
To promote the title, Microsoft has hired Terry Crews (
Brooklyn 9‑9, Deadpool 2), who plays Commander Jaxon in
Crackdown 3. In the latest trailer that aired during The Game Awards 2018, Jaxon acts as a suit fashionista with his real-life counterpart, real-life Terry Crews. You will have a chance to annihilate the competition as Jaxon in
Crackdown 3’s fully destructible environment, Wrecking Zone.
The Wrecking Zone focuses on destroying as many things as you can in the shortest time possible. The upcoming sandbox definitely is a
Crackdown game, which means that you will have a chance to ruin whole buildings, but getting rid of your opponents will be also rewarded. Unfortunately, Miley Cyrus’ involvement remains a mystery, but you can still listen to Terry Crews' words of wisdom below:
Enter Crackdown 3’s sandbox of mayhem and destruction and become a Super-Powered Agent dedicated to Justice by any means necessary. Explore the heights of a dangerous futuristic city, cut through gang-infested streets in a transforming vehicle, and wield amazing abilities to dismantle a ruthless criminal empire. Developed by original creator Dave Jones, Crackdown 3 will deliver cooperative chaos and an all-new multiplayer mode where destruction is your ultimate weapon against friends and rivals online. Whether you’re playing the all-new Campaign or enjoying a truly revolutionary competitive experience, you’ll never look at open-world gaming the same way again.
