The Sands of Time revolutionized the way characters moved in video-games and made it astonishingly responsive. Warrior Within was one of the best revived games of 2004, and The Two Thrones ended the trilogy with a bang. Ubisoft tried to reboot the series with the beautiful Prince of Persia in 2008. Disney made a movie adaptation of the first game, and after The Forgotten Sands, the series was put on hold.

Ubisoft confirmed that Prince of Persia is still on pause, but if Beyond Good and Evil can get a sequel, what's stopping the Prince of Persia?
