Arc System Works, the Japanese video game studio best known for the Guilty Gear Xrd franchise and the BlazBlue series also has history with Dragon Ball Z fighting games.  Most recently they released Dragon Ball Z: Extreme Butōden in 2015 and Dragon Ball Z: Supersonic Warriors 2 for the Nintendo DS in 2005.

However, the power of the Xbox One and PS4 appears to have unlocked a new graphic capability previously unsees in Dragon Ball Z fighting games that makes it look as if gamers are playing an actual episode of the animie.  Destructable environments, speed blitzes and power-ups have DBZ fans absolutely salivating for the upcoming game.

Sadly, they'll have to wait until early-2018 however, a closed BETA is set to go live later this Summer.

Dragon Ball FighterZ is coming to Xbox One, PS4 and PC early 2018! Developed by Arc System Works, get ready for 3VS3 2D fighting and the best graphics yet! Look forward to a CLOSED BETA on Xbox One and PS4 before the end of the summer! More info coming soon.
