Announced back in June of this year, Team17 and The Game Kitchen's punishing platformer action game, Blasphemous, has just become available today for the PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch, Xbox One, and PC.

While the game was just release today, Blasphemous has been very well-received by critics and fans of the action-platformer genre; with a very respectable 88/100 on Metacritic; needless to say, The Game Kitchen has really delivewred a proper action title worth of your attention.

The release date for Blasphemous was revealed during the Nintendo Indie World presentation; where the game was revealed to release for the Nintendo Switch on the 26th of September. Thankfully, that was all just a mistake, as the game was also released today for the Switch; currently available on the Nintendo Switch eShop.

In order to celebrate the occasion, Team17 has released an action-packed — and quite gorym to be quite honest — trailer for Blasphemous — so be sure to check it out down below.

Prepare for a descent into a dark and punishing Metroidvania world where fast-paced, skilled combat combines with a deep and evocative narrative core. You will play as The Penitent One, a sole survivor of the massacre of the ‘Silent Sorrow’. Exploring the nightmarish world of Cvstodia and unlocking the hellish secrets within, only you can free it from a twisted fate and reach the origin of your torment.

Blasphemous will release for the PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch, Xbox One, and PC on the 10th of September.
