Playtonic has finally confirmed that Yooka-Laylee and the Impossible Lair — direct sequel to their 3D platformer Yooka-Laylee — will be releasing for the PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch, Xbox One, and PC(Steam) in October.

While we still don't know exactly when in October is the game finally releasing, these are still great news for fans of the Yooka-Laylee series who have been anticipating this new 2D platformer adventure title.

The announcement was made by Playtonic, which in a very meta kind of way had Yooka and Laylee taking the role of the fans and asking an animated bridge(?) about Yooka-Laylee and the Impossible Lair's release date.

Take a look:

Yooka-Laylee and the Impossible Lair will be available for the PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch, Xbox One, and Steam in October of 2019.
