Yooka-Laylee and the Impossible Lair is Playtonic's brand-new title in the
Yooka-Laylee series, which was released last Tuesday for the PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch, Xbox One, and PC(Steam, GOG); bringing with it some top quality 2D platforming and outstanding music to go with.
One of the things that immediately had fans of
Yooka-Laylee excited for this new entry, was the fact that renowned composers Grant Kirkhope and David Wise were teaming up to produce the soundtrack for
Yooka-Laylee and the Impossible Lair; a team that is almost a dream come true for fans of the
Banjo-Kazooie and
Donkey Kong Country series.
Needless to say, the soundtrack in
Yooka-Laylee and the Impossible Lair is phenomenal, which gives us a perfect mix between Kirkhope and Wise's different, albeit quite complementary, music styles; setting the perfect mood for Playtonic's recently released, and critically acclaimed 2D platformer.
Playtonic has just announced that the
Yooka-Laylee and the Impossible Lair soundtrack will be releasing this week on Bandcamp, although they didn't exactly reveal any other details like pricing or exact launch date. In the meantime, players can also purchase the soudntrack on
Steam and
GOG, and enjoy this masterpiece at their leisure.
