Harry Potter fans have a new game to look forward to. Announced today, Harry Potter: Hogwarts Mystery is an upcoming mobile game in which fans of the Harry Potter franchise can attend the iconic Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry.
Details are scarce at the moment, but Harry Potter: Hogwarts Mystery is being developed as a "story-driven mobile narrative role-playing game." It's the first mobile game in which players will be able to create their own character and experience life as a student at the school.
Teased on the Pottermore site: "Once you’ve settled into the school, your character can move through the years while doing all the same things Hogwarts students do: taking part in Duelling Club, for example, or going to classes such as Potions and Defence Against the Dark Arts. There’ll be faces you recognise, too, with many subjects taught by Professors you may already know and love (or know and dislike, depending on who they are…)."
The game is being developed by mobile games studio Jam City, and is a part of the Portkey Games lable from Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment. Harry Potter: Hogwarts Mystery is set to release "at some point next year."
