Activision has made a rather surprising announcement today, as they reveal that a brand-new mobile game in the form of Crash Bandicoot: On the Run is currently being developed by King for iOS and Android devices.
As it is rather obvious by the game's title itself, Crash Bandicoot: On the Run is a running game that will see players making their way through some of the series' classic locations like Temple Ruins, Lost City, and Turtle Woods, while also fighting a myriad of classic enemies and iconic bosses.
Crash Bandicoot: On the Run will also allow players to gather some ingredients and craft "wild and wacky weapons" with the help of Crash's sister Coco. It is also worth mentioning that all of Crash's moveset is in this game, so players should expect to do a lot of running, jumping, and spinning to smash some crates along the way.
Activision and King also reveal that those who pre-register for Crash Bandicoot: On the Run will get an exclusive Blue Hyena skin for Crash on the day the game becomes available, and you can pre-register by clicking right here.
The one thing that the developers haven't revealed yet is when Crash Bandicoot: On the Run will become available on the App Store and Google Play, although they reassure players that it will be soon. Could it be before Crash Bandicoot 4: It's About Time launches for consoles in October? Will it be after? Leave us a comment and let us know what you think.
