Square Enix is bringing another one is its most famous franchises to the mobile platform, with Dragon Quest Tact. Dragon Quest is a game series that has spanned multiple titles and multiple heroes. The series has had anime series based on the games and has even been added as a fighter in the most recent Super Smash Bros. Ultimate game.
The new game features a unique style of gameplay for the franchise. As a tactical role-playing game, Dragon Quest Tact allows the player to engage in a slower-paced action that focuses more on the turn-based system.
The gameplay maps are more of a grid system but allow for players to get the maximum combat experience that the game has. The creator of the franchise, Yuji Horii, is working as General Director, while artist Akira Toriyama (Dragon Ball) returns to the series as a character designer. With these choices, the game proves to be just as faithful to the source as the other games that came before.
The game will be free to play upon release and has preregistration open as of right now. To get fans excited for the game, a new promotional video was also released for the game! With Dragon Quest Tact coming out, this will hopefully allow for even more games, in the franchise, to come to smartphones! Make sure to share your thoughts on the news, and don't forget to check out the new trailer!
