This past Sunday, Nintendo's free-to-start
Mario Kart Tour finally got the long-awaited multiplayer mode that fans had been clamouring for pretty much since the game released in September of last year — giving players the chance to race against other people around the world, as well as against their friends either online or locally.
Before this new mode was added to the game, Nintendo hosted two multiplayer tests that would help give players a proper multiplayer experience once the mode was officially released. In spite of the tests, however, some users did experience a few issues after multiplayer mode became available.
Nintendo was quick to address these issues, and today they have released update 2.0.1., which fixes a bunch of errors ecountered by players, and also enhance the experience for
Mario Kart Tour players.
The full list of patch notes included in update 2.0.1. read as follows:
– Players may encounter a communications error (code 819-0007) and be unable to participate in multiplayer.
– The ranking order and tier information of friends displayed on the Friend Ranking screen may be incorrect.
– Players may not receive a level-up reward when they advance to the next player level.
Note: We plan to provide compensation for this issue at a later date.
– Players may not receive the reward for the Mario Bros. Tour challenge “Race in every course of every cup, including bonus challenges” upon its completion.
Note: We plan to provide compensation for this issue at a later date.
– Other minor issues.
