Update 3.2 for Foxnext Games'
MARVEL Strike Force has arrived and with it comes three new playable
X-Men characters. The pisonic ninja Psylocke is available today, with Colossus and Dark Phoenix arriving soon. Together, these three mutants can team up with existing X-Men characters like Wolverine and Storm to conquer the Alliance War leaderboards.
Psylocke brings an arsenal of psychic powers to the game, including telekinetic blasts and illusions, foresight and her deadly psionic blade. She's also able to negate negative effects and use them against her enemies.
Coming at a later date is the steel strongman, Colossus. He brings his superhuman strength, stamina, and durability to the Arena. Specializing in hand-to-hand combat, the Russian powerhouse acts as a defensive force for his team. He's able to stack buffs, increase ally defenses, and gain death proof.
Also arriving with this update, but at a later date is Dark Phoenix, star of the upcoming
X-Men movie (the last one from Fox). With her devastating combination of telepathy and telekinesis, Dark Phoenix is able to fly at supersonic speeds, blast enemies with cosmic energy, and rearrange the molecular structure of matter.
Interestingly, players will start as Phoenix and will only rise as Dark Phoenix once their health runs out. As Dark Phoenix, players can steal enemy health and incinerate anything that stands in their way. Dark Phoenix doesn't have a release date, but it's possible she will arrive alongside the movie on June 7.
