It's almost morphin' time. With just a few days until the start of Fortnite's Chapter 6 Season 4, Epic Games has started to reveal some of the surprise collaborations coming our way this season.
It's already been confirmed that Halo's UNSC Spartans will be a part of the upcoming season's Battle Pass, but now it seems another major crossover will happen as well.
Confirmation of a Power Rangers collaboration in Chapter 6 Season 4 comes by way of social media, where Epic Games pretty much acknowledged the leaks when responding to a fan's question.
Epic stopped short of providing any actual details, but thanks to Hypex, we do have some additional information. The trusted leaker admits we don't know much, but did confirm that the Power Rangers cosmetic content will be split between the upcoming season's Battle Pass and the Item Shop.
It sounds like the final Tier 100 level of the Chapter 6 Season 4 Battle Pass will unlock the Tommy Oliver White Ranger skin. He also mentions a secret Megazord skin, which we have seen in some art leaks.
Additional Power Rangers-inspired cosmetics will be available for purchase individually or as bundles through the Item Shop, although we don't yet know exactly what this will entail. There have been numerous iterations of the Power Rangers throughout the years, but it sounds like Epic will be leaning into the original series with this collaboration.
Fortnite Chapter 6 Season 4 will begin on Thursday, August 7th. A leaked image from the in-game news feed seems to confirm that the season will be titled "Shock 'N Awesome" and will involve an alien Bug invasion.
The description reads: "Investigate the start of the bug invasion in Battle Royale, and ready up for the fight against the insect adversaries on August 7!"
Fortnite is no stranger to collaborations, often partnering with major franchises and IP such as Marvel, Star Wars, and more. The current Chapter 6 Season 3, titled "Super," was themed around superheroes and featured a major crossover with DC's iconic Superman, which tied in perfectly with the release of the James Gunn-directed blockbuster film (which I'm sure was not just a random coincidence). Fortnite is often used as an advertising tool for major brands that want to tie their product into one of the world's most popular games.
