The game's launch for Nintendo Switch was a sudden one, Pokemon Quest provided fans with a great way to make time for Pokemon Let's Go, Pikachu! and Let's Go, Eevee!. And yes, it was promised to us that the game's mobile version was coming.
The Japanese Twitter account, Pokemon_cojp, has stated that the RPG Pokemon Quest will indeed be coming to iOS and Android. The tweet is celebrating the 2.5 million downloads the game has gotten and they are announcing pre-registration for both Android and the iOS version.
Data can not be transferred between the Switch and mobile versions of the game. If you were hoping to play on both and continue growing, that is not possible. You will have to decide which account to progress.
The game should be available free for all users on June 28. The Pokemon Quest is a bit different from other Pokemon games, here is a synopsis:
Set off for adventure in the Pokémon™ Quest game. Venture out with your Pokémon buddies on expeditions across Tumblecube Island in search of loot in this free-to-start action-adventure for the Nintendo Switch™ system. Modify your Pokémon buddies with discovered Power Stones to make your ultimate expedition team.
With a cube-shaped art style, Pokémon™ Quest is unlike any Pokémon game you've seen before. The simple gameplay makes it easy to hop into expeditions and start exploring Tumblecube Island with the help of your Pokémon buddies. Afterwards, head back to your base camp where you can use the loot you found during your adventure to befriend more Pokémon. Attract various Kanto Region Pokémon to your base camp by cooking up dishes made with collected ingredients! You can even decorate your base camp with fun items that provide helpful bonuses that make your expeditions more beneficial.
You can pre-register for Pokemon Quest now on the Google Play Store or App Store.
