With 2019 coming to an end soon, so too is the "year of Fantastic 4" for Kabam's Marvel Contest of Champions. Today's update to the mobile fighting game adds one vital member, Silver Surfer.

The Herald of Galactus is all about creating and maintaining as many unique buffs as possible. Each unique buff one increases his on hit energy damage and enables him to create new powerful buffs when launching special attacks.

To protect his planet from certain Annihilation, Norrin Radd relinquished his life to become the Silver Surfer, a Herald of Galactus. Now imbued with the Power Cosmic, the Silver Surfer travels the galaxy in search of new planets to feed Galactus’ insatiable hunger.

Silver Surfer arrives as Kabam celebrates the fifth anniversary of Marvel Contest of Champions. The game now features more than 160 champions, up from the 135 champions that were in the game last year.

Since releasing in 2014, over 2.8 billion hours have been played from over 215 million summoners. Together, there have been over 70 billion completed fights. Here's how Marvel Contest of Champions is celebrating its latest anniversary.

Five years have passed. In that time there have been universe shaping events, epic victories, and dark discoveries. But someone was always watching...
