MARVEL CONTEST OF CHAMPIONS: The God Of Mutants Enters The Contest With The Addition Of Apocalypse

As the Rise of X continues in Kabam's MARVEL Contest of Champions, another new hero (or villain) is coming to the mobile fighter. MARVEL Contest of Champions is one of if not the best fighting game on the mobile market and features hundreds of characters from every corner of the Marvel Universe, including some originally created characters for the game!

With the Rise of X, new characters that have been inspired by Johnathan Hickman's new run on the X-Men are slowly making their way into the game. First, there was Professor X, who uses the abilities of some of his oldest students in conjunction with his telepathy. Now, Apocalypse is here, and he is bringing the might of Egypt with him.

One of the strongest and most feared enemies in the X-Men, Apocalypse, has found a place on the island sanctuary for mutants called Krakoa. However, one must always suspect that Apocalypse is up to something, and now fans will be able to wield that immense power and intellect as the latest character in the game!

Thousands of years ago in ancient Aqaba, the first living being on Earth to express the mutant X-gene was born, given the name “En Sabah Nur” or “The First One”. As he traveled the Earth, En Sabah Nur deemed himself “Apocalypse” convincing ancient civilizations that he was a deity and manipulating them into fighting wars which he justified as stimulating growth, judgment, and destruction. After conquesting the Earth for many millennia Apocalypse used Celestial technology to enter a period of suspended animation for many centuries, awakening in the current age and deciding the Earth is ready for further examination.
