Much of the buzz in Niantic's
Pokémon Go lately has been surrounding one of two things -
Team Go Rocket or
Unova Region. Fans have been keeping their eyes peeled with a careful watch over the Generation V Pokédex pages to see which creatures are newly available as that is the latest generation to receive the
Pokémon Go treatment.
It wasn't too long ago that we reported that we would be looking ahead at Axew, Solipede, Sewaddle, and each of their two evolutionary forms for a total of nine new Unova creatures making their way to the mobile game. This information was finally confirmed via an upcoming loading screen we shared earlier this week. Today, however, we look ahead at a member of Generation IV's Sinnoh Region that will be receiving the spotlight again, beginning on Tuesday.
Starting Tuesday, January 7th at 1:00 pm PST and running until February 4th at 1:00 pm PST, Heatran will be returning to run the five-star Raid Battles in
Pokémon Go. During this time players will also have the opportunity to attempt to capture a shiny version of Heatran, but whether the version you wind up catching is shiny or not, with a dual type of Fire and Steel this unique creature is quite a formidable pocket monster to duel against in the Master League.
Before you gear up to head after Heatran, have you tried the new
Pokémon Go Buddy Adventure feature yet? Your Pokémon companion can now join you on the map bringing along a bevy of features such as feeding your friend and having them join you when capturing.
