Pokemon GO is one of the most fun and socially active mobile games out right now, and it's hard to believe even the developers over at Niantic could have expected that when they created the game. By mixing the property of Pokemon into a real-world environment that allows people to interact with each other while they try to go on their own adventure is quite possibly the best example of perfectly melding the world of smartphones with human interaction.
One of the ways that the team over at Niantic has helped to continue the trend of community in the game is to have monthly community days where players are encouraged to go out and explore with the app while also capturing some specific Pokemon. Those that participate are also treated to various other goodies like resources and currency and, of course, Pokemon!
Since the year has been so hectic and now the holidays are coming up, Pokemon GO wants to do something special for the fans; for this month only, there will be not one but two community days that will include two classic Pokemon from the past. This November, players will be able to capture not just Electabuzz but a Magmar on two separate days for the month!
Further details on the events can be found right here, which will be important to read to maximize the benefits of the days. We would love to hear your thoughts on the news or how the events went in the comments below!
Pokémon Go is a free smartphone app that combines gaming with the real world. The game uses location tracking and mapping technology to create an 'augmented reality' where players catch and train Pokémon characters in real locations.
The Electabuzz Community Day will be held on November 15th and the Magmar Community Day will be on November 21st on Pokemon GO!
