The long-running
Pokemon franchise is expanding yet again with a newly announced mobile game.
Pokemon Rumble Rush was announced today by The Pokemon Company (via
Kotaku). The mobile game is made by Ambrella and is available on Android and iOS devices.
This game is the newest instalment in the
Pokemon Rumble series wherein players can collect chibi-versions of iconic Pokemon creatures.
Pokemon Rumble Rush takes place on multiple islands which serve as battlegrounds for Pokemon. It's said that these islands will be changed every fortnight, each time introducing new Pokemon and challenges.
Rumble Rush was originally titled "PokeLand" when it was first revealed back in 2017. News about the game had been silent since then, until now. Now, however, the game is back and has already been releasing in the Oceanic continent (that's Australia and New Zealand specifically). It's thought that the new mobile game will be release across the rest of the world later this week or even today.
Pokemon Rumble Rush is entirely free-to-play, though does feature in-game purchases.
