Niantic has officially announced that new Generation V creatures from the Unova Region would be making their way into
Pokémon Go to join Snivy, Oshawott, Tepig, and the rest of their
Pokémon Black and
White pals. While we don't have any details on who these creatures are going to be yet, the mere idea of having new creatures obtainable for trainers to add to the pages of their dex is one that is sure to make players happy.
Along with the new creatures being released, the beloved Adventure Sync Hatchathon event is returning in January as well. Players will be able to walk a certain distance in order to earn rewards such as Rare Candies, extra Stardust, and the coveted Unova stones which haven't proven to be the easiest item to locate in the mobile game prior but are required for several evolutions - and with the addition of the upcoming creatures, likely even more.
Trainers will also be able to encounter certain pocket monsters sporting party hats in the wild and from the hatching eggs which will help celebrate the new year. The Adventure Sync Hatchathon returns on January 2nd, 2020 at 1pm PST and will run for two weeks until January 16th, 2020 at 1pm PST.
