Niantic often gets away with postponing the addition of new pocket monsters into
Pokémon Go by slyly incepting different versions of already existing 'mons to the mix. These include the party hat Pokémon like Nidorino and Gengar, the shiny Pokémon that many trainers chase after, the lucky Pokémon that can be obtained by trading, and even the Shadow Pokémon that can be saved from Team Go Rocket after defeating the Grunts and Leaders.
In regards to the Shadow Pokémon -- which are the creatures we are turning our attention to in this article -- the creatures can be obtained only through defeating members of Team Go Rocket. Only then can Trainers "save" these pocket monsters and then have the option to Purify them. Some Trainers choose to Purify the creature for the Stat change while others like these monsters specifically for the look they have.
Trainers who fight their way up the ranks past the Team Go Rocket Grunts and Team Go Rocket Leaders eventually have the chance to face the big boss. Giovanni -- who is recognizable to anyone who has viewed the anime or played the original game titles as the head of the villanous organization -- uses Legendary Pokémon which means defeating him allows fans the opportunity to claim shadow versions of Pokémon like Moltres and more.
Looking ahead to March it seems like the next Shadow Pokémon that will be acuireable via battling Giovanni will be the legendary dog from Generation II, Entei. Players looking to add Shadow Entei to their roster who have finished the previous Team Go Rocket research will be able to do so with the new Field Reserch Tasks.
