Pokémon: Let's Go, Pikachu! and
Pokémon: Let's Go, Eevee! released almost one year ago on November 16th, 2018 exclusively for the Nintendo Switch. The games are developed by Game Freak and published by The Pokémon Company and Nintendo. They're remakes of the classic
Pokémon Yellow game from 1998 but feature simpler mechanics in order to be more accessible.
The pair of games have proven to be quite a success for The Pokémon Company and they've gone on record
stating how pleased they are with the performance of the them— as well as the
Pokémon GO mobile game. Despite that, as well as what many people assumed, it has been revealed that there are not currently any plans for any more
Pokémon: Let's Go games.
During an interview with
Eurogamer, in which the topic of conversation was the upcoming
Pokémon Sword and
Pokémon Shield games, Game Freak's Junichi Masuda stated that fans would have to voice their support for and appreciation of the
Pokémon: Let's Go series in order for more instalments to be considered by The Pokémon Company.
"At the moment there's no particular plans, but if the fans really like it then definitely keep those voices coming out to the Pokemon Company and Nintendo, and make sure we hear them!" Masuda told the site.
