The
Call of Duty franchise has been around for sixteen years now and has never gotten a major mobile entry — that was until now.
Call of Duty: Mobile is the newest entry in the long-running first-person shooter series and is available exclusively on mobile devices — specifically iOS and Android ones. At that, it's totally free to play.
Various maps, characters, weapons, perks, and more have been plucked from previous instalments and smooshed together to make one cohesive mobile game. For example, you can play as Captain Price and Soap MacTavish from the
Call of Duty: Modern Warfare subseries on maps like Hijacked and Nuketown from the
Call of Duty: Black Ops series.
Vice versa; you can also play as Alex Mason and Frank Woods on maps like Crash and Shipment. Included are traditional modes like Team Deathmatch and Domination but also a full-on battle royale mode akin to Blackout from
Call of Duty: Black Ops 4.
