There is no denying that Warner Bros. and Legendary's Detective Pikachu is a movie that will probably end up making history as the one movie that managed to break the video game movie curse, at least that seems to be the case if we go by the trailers the studio has released for the movie.
Detective Pikachu already boasts a talented cast that sees Ryan Reynolds as Pikachu and Justice Smith as Tim Goodman, with Rob Letterman(
Goosebumps(2015),
Monsters vs. Aliens) sitting in the Director's chair; promising a fun and heartfelt movie for both fans of the
Pokémon series and general audiences.
Warner Bros. has recently shared a brand-new behind the scenes featurette for the movie, which has performers Ryan Reynolds, Justice Smith, and Kathryn Newton talking a little bit more in-depth about the world of
Pokémon, as well as the characters they're playing in
Detective Pikachu.
Take a look:
The first-ever live-action Pokémon movie, “POKÉMON Detective Pikachu” stars Ryan Reynolds as the titular character in the first-ever live-action movie based on the iconic face of the global Pokémon brand—one of the world’s most popular, multi-generation entertainment properties and most successful media franchises of all time.
