World of Warcraft: Forever beta keys are sitting in the McDonald's Australia app. MyMacca's Rewards will trade 1,000 points for a unique code. Redeem it on Battle.net, download the client, and you are in the test. No active World of Warcraft subscription is required for the beta.
This is for Australia only. The Partner Rewards tile lives in the Australian MyMacca's app. One redemption per MyMacca's account. One key per WoW account. While stocks last.
How to pull the code:
- Open MyMacca's. Go to Rewards & Deals. Scroll to Partner Rewards. Spend 1,000 points on the Forever beta key. Copy the code the app shows you. Log into Battle.net, or make a free account. Account, then Redeem Code. Paste. Follow the prompts.
- McDonald's Customer Support handles points and app redemption problems. Blizzard Support handles Battle.net and game-account problems. The promotion page says Blizzard did not organize or administer the tie-in.
- Dates on the McDonald's page are tight. You can redeem in the app until October 20, 2026, 11:59 p.m. AEDT, or until the pile runs out. The same deadline applies to punching the code into Battle.net. Beta access on that page closes October 22. Blizzard's shop copy has run the test from September 17 through October 21 PST. Treat the last two days as a closing window, not extra vacation.
- Characters do not transfer to launch. Forever itself still wants game time or a subscription when it goes live in November. The McDonald's FAQ lists November 5. However we all know it comes out November 4. Either way, the key is a preview and a beta test, not a launch skip.
Reminder that you will need a PC that meets Forever's minimum specs, an internet connection, and the Battle.net desktop app.
1,000 points is not a coupon you print from a box. You earn MyMacca's points on the app through orders. If you already sit on a pile from coffee runs, this is as close to a free key as the promo gets. If you are at zero, you are buying food until the counter hits 1,000. The page does not publish a points-per-dollar chart.
Everyone else still has the usual doors for entry into the beta. The Skyborne Epic Pack at $59.99 and the Warcraft Forever Collection at $79.99 guarantee beta. The $29.99 Heroic Pack gets the Skyborne race and Zephras Isle. It does not get the test. A free opt-in on the Forever Battle.net page is a lottery. Invite-A-Friend codes from pack buyers are for launch week in November, not this beta.
The beta test that key unlocks is capped for levels. Blizzard told Destin the beta opens at level 20, then rises to 30 after a couple of weeks. You will see Zephras Isle, early racials, the first new dungeons in the 13-20 band, camping and food recipes if they are in the build, and the HD/SD toggle. You will not see Hyjal Summit. Raids wait until December 9 on live realms.
Codes cannot be sold, transferred, or cashed out unless Australian law forces it. Single use. They sit under Blizzard's EULA once redeemed. If the code fails, check that you copied the whole string, that you are on the right Battle.net account, and that you beat the October 20 AEDT cutoff.
Reddit already has people outside Australia asking for handouts. The terms say no transfers. Do not buy a code off a stranger. One key per WoW account also means you cannot stack a McDonald's code on top of an Epic Pack you already prepaid.
If you live in Australia, have the app, and have the points, this is the cheapest confirmed seat besides winning the opt-in raffle. If you do not have the app, the Epic Pack is still the paid guarantee. Thursday, September 17, is when the client is supposed to open.
