Back in April, Paramount Pictures released the first trailer for their live-action
Sonic the Hedgehog movie. Suffice it to say, fans were far from pleased with what they saw. However, the director of the
Sonic the Hedgehog movie quickly took to social media to calm to storm and put an end to the backlash. Jeff Fowler declared that they would delay the film in order to rework it.
Months later and the
Sonic the Hedgehog movie will now arrive in theatres on February 14th rather than on the initially planned November date. Yesterday, Paramount Pictures released a new trailer for
Sonic the Hedgehog and fans were much more fond of it than its predecessor. Rather than an uncanny and humanoid character design for Sonic, he was now much more cute and palatable.
Since then, the film has essentially received nothing but praise for getting it right this time around and also taking on board the overwhelming amount of criticism that fans levied at it. Fowler recently took to social media yet again in order to comment on the new trailer's reception.
"Thank you for the last 24 hours Sonic fans... it's been EXTRAORDINARY. (and there's much MORE to come)," Fowler teased that we should expect much more exciting content in the lead up to the release of the
Sonic the Hedgehog movie. You can check out his tweet below (
