Angry Birds franchise was once just a simple, popular mobile game. It has since evolved into a pair of animated movies, the second of which will release in theatres on August 2nd, 2019.
The first instalment released in 2016 and all of its talent, from its voice cast to directors, are returning for
The Angry Birds Movie 2. Thurop Van Orman (
Adventure Time) and John Rice (
Rick and Morty) are at the helm of the sequel. It'll feature the voices of Jason Sudeikis, Josh Gad, Leslie Jones, Bill Hader, Rachel Bloom, Awkwafina, Sterling K. Brown, Danny McBride, Peter Dinklage, Zach Woods, Pete Davidson, Lil Rel Howery, and Beck Bennett.
Sony Pictures Entertainment (via
Toonado) recently released the final trailer for
The Angry Birds Movie 2. It sees the piggies and birds put aside their differences as they're attacked by an island run by nefarious eagles. The two former nemeses assemble a team of specialists in order to infiltrate Eagle Island.
