At this point, everyone is familiar with the
Sonic the Hedgehog live-action movie; and for all of the wrong reasons. Since the first images where leaked a few months ago, fans started to worry about the movie — as Sonic looked a little too different in comparison with his video game counterpart.
It wasn't until the very first trailer for
Sonic the Hedgehog released that fans could finally see the character in action, and the reception was nothing short of a disaster; with the
character's creators going as far as saying that they disliked the movie's design.
Thankfully, Jeff Fowler — the
Sonic the Hedgehog live-action movie's Director — revealed that they had been listening to the legitimate complaints from fans, and that
Sonic's design was going to be changed before the movie released in November, which was just recently revealed to have been
pushed back to February of 2020.
Recently, a
Sonic fan(
YouTube user Artur Baranov) has taken it upon himself to make a fan-made for the trailer for the
Sonic the Hedgehog movie using the footage from the real trailer released by Paramount Pictures, but replacing Sonic's awful design with one that is more akin to the character from the video games.
Check it out:
Sonic the Hedgehog is a live-action adventure comedy based on the global blockbuster videogame franchise from Sega that centers on the infamously brash bright blue hedgehog. The film follows the (mis)adventures of Sonic as he navigates the complexities of life on Earth with his newfound – human – best friend Tom Wachowski (James Marsden). Sonic and Tom join forces to try and stop the villainous Dr. Robotnik (Jim Carrey) from capturing Sonic and using his immense powers for world domination. The film also stars Tika Sumpter and Ben Schwartz as the voice of Sonic.
Sonic the Hedgehog speeds into theaters on the 14th of February.
