From Software's next big thing,
Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice, will be finally released this Friday for PS4, Xbox One, and PC. Quite interestingly, this
Souls-like game won't be published by Bandai Namco (at least in the Western market) as the game producer has teamed-up with Activision to distribute
Sekiro.
The publisher has released an all-new gameplay overview trailer for
Sekiro, putting the spotlight on its core gameplay mechanics, involving killing Sekiro's enemies with the protagonist’s battle-hardened katana and prosthetic arm that works basically like a mediaeval equivalent of Rico Rodriguez’s grappling hook from the explosive
Just Cause franchise (especially its most recent installments).
Considering that you won't be able to call your friends (or even strangers) in-game to help you overcome obstacles From will throw at you, Sekiro's basic equipment will be your only hope to rescue a mysterious young lord and survive in the hostile world of late 1500s Sengoku Japan. With the Hidetaka Miyazaki-directed project releasing in four days, be sure to take a look at its latest trailer down below:
In Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice you are the “one-armed wolf”, a disgraced and disfigured warrior rescued from the brink of death. Bound to protect a young lord who is the descendant of an ancient bloodline, you become the target of many vicious enemies, including the dangerous Ashina clan. When the young lord is captured, nothing will stop you on a perilous quest to regain your honor, not even death itself.
Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice will launch on March 22, 2019 for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC.
