The Hunt Might Be Over For The GTA 6 Leaker, As Their Website And Telegram Channel Go Offline

The main CyberLeek website and Telegram channel tied to the recent GTA 6 gameplay leaks have gone offline, displaying copyright infringement notices, raising hopes the leak campaign may be slowing.

The primary online hubs used by CyberLeek to distribute recent Grand Theft Auto 6 gameplay leaks have gone offline. On the morning of August 22, the group’s website became unreachable, and its Telegram channel now displays a message stating it is unavailable due to copyright infringement.

CyberLeek emerged earlier in the week as the source of multiple short gameplay videos showing Jason Duval driving, fighting, flying, robbing stores, and moving through the open world of Leonida. The clips also included map details and, in the latest release, a brief tease of a strip club entrance. Many of the videos carried watermarks promoting a cryptocurrency token and framed the leaks as a protest against digital distribution practices.

Take-Two Interactive responded by filing DMCA subpoenas in the Southern District of New York seeking records from Microsoft and Discord. The requests targeted account information, IP addresses, device data, and related content linked to the CyberLeek persona and associated servers. A New York court approved the subpoenas, and Xbox publicly confirmed it was working closely with Take-Two and Rockstar to support efforts to protect intellectual property.

The sudden disappearance of the website and Telegram channel is the first clear sign that those legal steps may be producing results. Rockstar itself has not issued a new public statement on the development. Earlier reporting described internal frustration at the studio, particularly because strict security measures put in place after previous leaks failed to prevent this latest wave.

It is too early to declare the leak campaign fully over. At least one additional clip continued to circulate after the main hubs went dark, suggesting the source may still have material or alternative distribution methods. However, removing the central websites and channels that aggregated and promoted the footage represents a meaningful disruption.

The timing remains sensitive. Rockstar’s official Netflix Extended Look is scheduled for August 27, offering the first controlled major look at GTA 6 gameplay. The game itself is still on track for its November 19 launch on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S. Whether the offline status of CyberLeek’s primary platforms holds, and whether further videos appear in the coming days, will determine how much unofficial footage continues to shape the conversation before the official presentation.

For now, the most visible outlets for the leaks have been taken down. Take-Two’s legal pressure appears to have forced at least a temporary retreat from the public-facing infrastructure CyberLeek used to spread the material. The coming days will show whether that retreat is permanent or simply a shift to less visible channels.
