Just Cause 4's map was recently revealed and, just like its predecessors', it is enormous. The map appears to be divided up into four different regions, all of which have their own unique enviroment - one is clearly more mountainous and snowy than the others, while another is more like a desert, etc.
A common complaint regarding Just Cause 3's map was just how similar it all was, Square Enix have clearly improved in that region. On the topic of Just Cause 3's map, apparently its sequel's map is just a smidge smaller than its predecessor - but regardless, the map, overall, is roughly 32 x 32 kilometres so the slight downgrade is nothing to complain about.
Square Enix recently unveiled an interactive tool on their website which allows you to explore the vast "Map of Solis" right now. Click here to try it out. The online map features a couple of interesting audio logs - one of which warns of the treacherous yet highly-anticipated tornadoes!
