Monster Hunter fans were surprised by Capcom last week, when Capcom announced Monster Hunter: Rise and Monster Hunter Stories 2: Wings of Ruin; two games currently in development for the Nintendo Switch that are expected to launch early next year.
While both games will be launching next year, only Monster Hunter: Rise was given an official release date, which is actually one of the reasons why the developers at Capcom have been revealing a bunch of new information in regards to this new open-world title coming to the Nintendo Switch.
Monster Hunter: Rise will be launching for Nintendo's handheld hybrid on Friday the 26th of March in 2021, and it will give players the chance to experience a Monster Hunter title like no other. This new game is borrowing elements from the critically acclaimed, and best-selling Monster Hunter World, but there are things unique to this new entry.
For starters, the developers have revealed that they are adding a new item called the Wirebug, which will make traversing the world a breeze, as well as more dynamic, while also adding more verticality to the game; judging from the trailers, it looks like this new item will be the real game changer.
Since this is a Monster Hunter title, players expect to see new monsters, and Capcom has apparently delivered in this particular regard as well; introducing players to some new, and ferocious monsters for players to hunt, and the latest trailer gives us a glimpse at some of these monsters in action.
It is worth mentioning that this "new" trailer for Monster Hunter: Rise is actually the same announcement trailer, but with a few extra seconds of gameplay — which you'll be directed to immediately, to save you some time, as soon as you play the video posted below.
