While last year's
Call of Cthulhu launched as a Cyanide project, it was originally made by Frogwares, the Ukrainian game development studio responsible for some pretty enjoyable adventure games with
Sherlock Holmes in the main role.
Cthulhu was officially announced in 2014, but Focus Home Interactive decided to take the project back from Frogwares in 2016 and transferred it over to Cyanide.
While Frogwares'
Call of Cthulhu is no more, their own
The Sinking City was announced shortly after the transfer as the biggest thing the studio has ever done. In
City, you will play as a detective who's trying to solve the mystery of endless floods that have been driving the citizens of Oakmont Massachusetts crazy. As you've probably guessed, the game is inspired by the novels of H.P. Lovecraft.
Frogwares has released an all-new gameplay trailer for
The Sinking City, this time putting the spotlight on the game's core gameplay mechanics. Thanks to the recent video, you can take a closer look at the ways you will be able to uncover mysteries, solve crimes, and deliver justice in this ruined metropolis.

The Sinking City featuring plenty of never-before-seen footage below:
The Sinking City is a game of investigation and mystery taking place in a fictional open world inspired by the works of H.P. Lovecraft. The player steps into the shoes of a 1920s private investigator who finds himself in the city of Oakmont Massachusetts, New England. A city suffering from unprecedented floods of clearly supernatural origins, a city trembling on the brink of madness.
The Sinking City is coming to PlayStation 4, Microsoft Windows, and Xbox One on March 21, 2019.
