Red Dead Redemption was released on PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 eight years ago and we have to wait to play the prequel not much longer, as the game will hit the stores this month. The main protagonist of the last game, John Marston, will make an appearance in the prequel, but he is not the center of attention this time around, as we fill follow Arthur Morgan, a goon in the Van der Linde gang.
The press recently had a chance to check out the full build of
Red Dead Redemption 2 and there's one particularly good news that should make the
RDR fandom happy as John Marston’s original voice actor has been confirmed to be voicing him again in
Red Dead 2. Why is it surprising? Well, Rob Wiethoff, who voiced Marston, decided to focus on his family life after the release of the first game.
According to Rockstar Games,
Red Dead Redemption 2 is
the biggest game it has created in terms of the sheer map size and the massive Wild West environment is reportedly fit to burst with activities, mini-games, side quests, and story missions. The main storyline will feature all sorts of dangerous adventures, including robbing trains, encountering rival gangs and outlaws, and many more!
America, 1899. The end of the wild west era has begun as lawmen hunt down the last remaining outlaw gangs. Those who will not surrender or succumb are killed. After a robbery goes badly wrong in the western town of Blackwater, Arthur Morgan and the Van der Linde gang are forced to flee. With federal agents and the best bounty hunters in the nation massing on their heels, the gang must rob, steal and fight their way across the rugged heartland of America in order to survive. As deepening internal divisions threaten to tear the gang apart, Arthur must make a choice between his own ideals and loyalty to the gang who raised him.
Red Dead Redemption 2 will be available on October 26, 2018 for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.
