Red Dead Redemption 2 released for the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One a year's time ago. PC users could only hold out hope that the acclaimed sequel would make its way onto their preferred and powerful platform.
Last week, evidence surfaced that such a thing might occur. Today, Rockstar Games has officially announced that
Red Dead Redemption 2 will be coming to the PC as soon as next month.
This news came courtesy of
a recent blog post by the developer. The renowned game will be available on November 5th to PC users via the official Rockstar Games Launcher. At that, pre-purchasing
Red Dead Redemption 2 through the launcher entitles you to some special in-game bonuses — as Rockstar teased in their aforementioned blog post, below is an excerpt from that.
“Today, we're proud to announce that Red Dead Redemption 2 is coming to PC on November 5th, with special bonuses available to players who pre-purchase through the Rockstar Games Launcher starting October 9th," the studio announced alongside some official artwork that has been specially made for the forthcoming PC port.
It's said that the PC version of
Red Dead Redemption 2 will enhanced visuals and new story mode content — such as bounty hunting missions, gang hideouts, new weapons. The sequel will also be made available to purchase from the Epic Game Store and Steam in December.
America, 1899. The end of the wild west era has begun as lawmen hunt down the last remaining outlaw gangs. Those who will not surrender or succumb are killed. After a robbery goes badly wrong in the western town of Blackwater, Arthur Morgan and the Van der Linde gang are forced to flee. With federal agents and the best bounty hunters in the nation massing on their heels, the gang must rob, steal and fight their way across the rugged heartland of America in order to survive. As deepening internal divisions threaten to tear the gang apart, Arthur must make a choice between his own ideals and loyalty to the gang who raised him.
Red Dead Redemption 2 is currently available for both the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One — and will be coming to the PC on November 5th, 2019.
