Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice, FromSoftware's brand-new Souls-like/Action adventure title, was released in March of this year — getting near perfect scores from critics.
The game's success was not only reflected by all of the praise it was getting, but also by how fast the game was selling; with well
over 2 million copies sold in the first 10 days after its release, which made it one of FromSoftware's fastest selling titles.
Now, we have new information about FromSoftware's critically acclaimed
Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice, as the title has now sold a very impressive 3.8 million units worldwide as of June.
To put this into perspective, FromSoftware's very own
Dark Souls 3 managed to sell 3 million copies in a bit under 3 months, and
Dark Souls 2 sold 2.5 million copies in one year after its launch; needless to say,
Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice has definitely not disappointed neither FromSoftware, nor Activision — which published the game.
In Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice you are the “one-armed wolf”, a disgraced and disfigured warrior rescued from the brink of death. Bound to protect a young lord who is the descendant of an ancient bloodline, you become the target of many vicious enemies, including the dangerous Ashina clan.
Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice is currently available for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC.
