We may have some disappointing news for those anticipating WayForward's brand-new entry in the Shantae series, as the developer has just announced that the game has been slightly pushed back in Europe. The good news is that it has only been delayed by a week.
Developer WayForward's announcement reveals, however, that it is only the Nintendo Switch version of Shantae and the Seven Sirens that has been delayed; originally scheduled to launch on the 28th of May, and will now become available on the 4th of June.
WayForward explains that this is due to reasons beyond their control, and have kindly apologised to fans of the Shantae series for the inconvenience; reassuring players that other platforms, including the Nintendo Switch version in North America, will be getting Shantae and the Seven Sirens on Thursday the 28th of May — as initially planned.
While this may be upsetting news for some fans of the series, it is commendable to see WayForward being open about this and letting fans know in advance. Then again, Shantae and the Seven Sirens has only been pushed back a mere 7 days; while somewhat annoying, it's still not that much of a delay.
Shantae is back in an all-new tropical adventure! Shantae and the Seven Sirens is expected to release for the PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch, Xbox One, and PC on the 28th of May.
