Star Wars: Squadrons was one of those pleasant surprises that Electronic Arts and Motive Studios had for players. Star Wars games have been slightly divisive since Electronic Arts became the publisher, but after the success of Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order, plyers have been more than willing to give them a chance.
Motive Studios and Electronic Arts have already shared quite a lot of information about the upcoming Star Wars title, and it really does look like Star Wars: Squadrons will be giving an immersive experience like few other Star Wars games have been able to provide.
The cherry on top is that the developers have confirmed that Star Wars: Squadrons will be playable in VR from beginning to end, as well as during those heated online dogfights. Regardless of VR, Motive Studios has already stated that they want the game to be immersive, and the cockpit view of the many starfighters available in the game does really look, well, immersive.
Star Wars: Squadrons is not out until early October, and video game journalist Geoff Keighley has recently confirmed that Motive Studios and Electronic Arts will be giving players a new look at the game during this Thursday's gamescom Opening Night Live, so don't forget to tune in at 11:00 AM Pacific Time / 2:00 PM Eastern Time / 8:00 PM CEST via The Game Awards' official YouTube channel.
