The French company has released the results for the first half of 2017 and it looks like
Assassin's Creed Origins cashed in from taking a two-year break. According to Ubisoft, the firm has benefited from the sales growth for Origins which doubled in comparison to 2015's Syndicate. The firm is basing on the results from the first ten days of the game's relases.
"The success of these releases [also including
For Honor, Mario+Rabbids, Rainbow 6: Siege and
Ghost Recon: Wildlands]– notably the 100% sales growth for Assassin’s Creed Origins – combined with solid live operations demonstrate that Ubisoft is ideally positioned to deliver further growth in future fiscal years" said Ubisoft CEO Yves Guillemot.
One can hope that Ubisoft won't return to the strategy of releasing a new
Assassin's Creed every year, as
Origins started off so well, but now it's all up to the French company.
