Ubisoft has revealed new Assassin's Creed images focusing on Michael Fassbender as the two characters he'll play in this adaptation of the hit video game. The movie picks up with Callum Lynch in the present after he discovers that he’s a descendant of the secret Assassins society through unlocked memories that allow him to relive the adventures of his ancestor, Aguilar, in 15th Century Spain.

After gaining incredible knowledge and skills he’s poised to take on the oppressive Knights Templar in the present day. Set in the same world as the game, but just how closely tied to them it will be remains to be seen. Assassin’s Creed stars Michael Fassbender, Marion Cotillard, Michael Kenneth Williams, and Ariane Labed, and is currently set to be released on December 21st, 2016. Are you guys excited?
