Once upon a time, Assassin's Creed games would release yearly like Call of Duty. Evidently, that's no longer the case as the most recent instalment in the series released back in October 2018. It's been a year and half since then.
So, what's next for Assassin's Creed? Well, there have been rumours abound for quite a while suggesting that it will have something to do with Norse mythology and/or vikings. Assassin's Creed Ragnarok, they call it. However, reputable insider Daniel Ahmad shot down these claims back in January — as you can see here. He's always on the money; we're inclined to believe him.
Regardless, we should be finding out what the next Assassin's Creed game is all about some time soon. That is, according to another reputable insider. A Twitter user recently reached out to Shinobi602 to request some Assassin's Creed developments. While Shinobi602 delivered, they were certainly vague about it.
The insider responded with "Almost there," in regards to the next Assassin's Creed game. They seem to be suggesting that Ubisoft are almost there in terms of development. Therefore, the next Assassin's Creed game will likely be revealed in the near future. How near? Well, some think we could find something out as soon as next month.
Others propose June as that's when E3 would have taken place — had it not been cancelled this year due to concerns regarding to Coronavirus pandemic. Find out more on that here.
