Square Enix's next major project, the third-poster shooter with elements of survival set in the
Front Mission universe
Left Alive, releases this Tuesday, giving you a unique chance to experience the devastating invasion of the fictional war-torn Novo Slava in 2127 from the perspectives of three battle-hardened main protagonists – Sergeant Mikhail, Captain Kalinina, and Leonid, a troubled ex-solider.
IGN has released over 12 minutes of all-new gameplay footage from
Left Alive with Game Director Nabeshima Toshifumi's commentary. Nabeshima, who directed the original
Armored Core, is not the only renowned artist involved in the production of
Left Alive, as Art Designer Yoji Shinkawa (
Metal Gear Solid) and Illustrator Takayuki Yanase (
Xenoblade Chronicles X) have also been working on the game.
Besides the game's story mode,
Left Alive will also feature the New Game+ functionality, and even some online mechanics, allowing you to see where other players have died, just like in
Dark Souls.
Be sure to take a closer look at just one of many ways to play the stealth-mech-shooter down below:
